Pain when you urinate or blood in your urine can be signs of a urinary tract infection, commonly referred to as a "UTI" or "bladder infection".  This can also be a sign of a kidney stone.  Most urinary tract infections will need to be treated with antibiotics and if you have these symptoms, you need to see a health care provider. AZO is a medicine that is available without a prescription.  It is not an antibiotic but it is a pain reliever for the urinary tract and can help you be more comfortable before you can see a health care provider. You should NEVER use antibiotics that might be left over or from a friend. It is important to be checked so that if you do need medicine, you are put on the right one. If you have these symptoms, start to drink more fluids and call Student Health Services to be seen.
